Parent Consultation

  • Parent consultation is an interactive and collaborative process that helps caregivers gain clarity about their child's behavior, emotions, relationships, and development. Together, through reflective, insight-oriented discussion, we explore what lies beneath and behind behaviors and challenges, leading to right-sized next steps we can evaluate and tweak along the way.

  • While I am trained as a therapist, parent consultation is not therapy. It is an opportunity to reflect on, and build insight into, current parenting approaches while also identifying strengths and areas for growth. 

  • Children should not join sessions. Parent consultation is a time for parents and caregivers to discuss all aspects of parenting with authenticity and vulnerability.

    That said, I do always love a quick drop in and opportunity to say, “Hi!” to your child(ren).

  • It can be. SPACE is a treatment in which the parents engage in work to support their anxious child(ren) and the family system writ large. It is an intervention that targets anxiety so if that is not part of your child’s profile, we likely will not use SPACE in our work together. You can read more about SPACE here.

Clinical Supervision

  • Clinical supervision is a dynamic relational process that supports social workers, and other professionals, in their professional development. The foundation of clinical supervision is built upon collaboration, reflection, and feedback.

  • Yes. I provide clinical supervision for social workers in Massachusetts who are working toward licensure. Supervision hours may be applied toward any level of Massachusetts social work licensure in accordance with Board requirements.

    I also provide clinical supervision and consultation to a variety of professionals in the mental health and education fields, including mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, school-based clinicians, and graduate students.

    If you are pursuing licensure in a profession other than social work, you should consult your profession's licensing board to determine whether supervision with an LICSW will satisfy your licensure requirements.

  • Yes. I offer group clinical supervision for small groups of 4–6 clinicians. Groups typically meet bi-weekly for 90 minutes. The fee for group supervision is $75 per person, per session.

    Groups intended to count toward Massachusetts social work licensure are capped at four participants in accordance with Board requirements.

  • Yes, my fee for individual clinical supervision is on a sliding scale from $100 to $200. The hourly rate is determined by multiple factors, please reach out if you would like to discuss.

Logistics

  • A good fit is crucial to all of the work I do. I offer a complimentary, no-obligation consult call to discuss goals, my approach, and to see if our dynamic feels supportive to you.

  • At present, my practice is completely virtual. Sessions are held via telehealth on Simple Practice, an encrypted and HIPAA compliant portal.

    Both parent consultation and individual clinical supervision sessions are 60 minutes. I also offer 90 minute parent consultation sessions and group clinical supervision sessions.

  • The initial 60 minute parent consultation session is $275, ongoing sessions are $225 per session for 60 minute sessions.

    I do not take insurance. I provide monthly superbills that, depending on your insurance carrier and plan, may allow you to receive partial reimbursement for our parent consultation work together.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I ask that you reach out as soon as you are able or provide at least 24 hours' notice.

    Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed sessions, will be charged the full session fee.

    If you are running late, please let me know as soon as you are able. When possible, I will use the remaining scheduled time for our appointment, sessions typically cannot be extended beyond their original end time.
